Coming to Caen

 

Caen is the capital city of Basse-Normandie and Calvados, located near the coast of northwestern France and two hours from Paris.

 

By train via Paris

 

Trains to Caen leave from Paris: 2 hours between Paris-Saint-Lazare train station (13 rue Amsterdam) and Caen railway station

You can choose your prefer way to go from Charles-de-Gaulle Airport to Saint-Lazare train station

Once you arrive at Caen railway station, taking Tram lines T1,T2 &T3 would lead you to the city center

Trains to Caen can only be booked three months in advance.

 

By bus

Buses from Paris Charles-de-Gaulle Airport to Caen train station take on average 3 h 50 min. You can book bus tickets from Flixbus or Blablacar.

 

By ferry

Caen-Carpiquet airport (9 km from the city centre):
Access to Caen city centre by bus with line 3 Twisto. Nearly 30 national and international destinations via Lyon or direct.

Coming to the University of Caen, Campus 1 

Caen station is 2.1 km from the University of Caen, the conference venue.

The easiest way to get there is to take :

 

  • T1 tram if you exit at the front of the station, towards Hérouville Saint Clair
  • T2 tram if you exit from the back of the station, towards campus 2

In both cases, the stop is "Université".
